Equine Cushing’s Bundle — A Step-by-Step Guide
Welcome to the Equine Cushing’s Bundle—a gentle, three-part program to support your horse’s with Cushing’s, the natural way.
Goal: Ease in gently, support detox first, then move into ongoing Cushing’s support. For best results split daily amounts AM/PM for a gentler introduction.
Remenber: Introduce changes one at a time and monitor appetite, energy, and manure. If anything seems off, pause, let things settle, and restart more slowly.
Week 1 (Days 1–7)
- Kidney Cleanse Naturally — give per label amount by weight daily.
- For sensitive horses, start at ½ amount for 3–5 days, then move to full.

Important notes
- We do not recommend using Cushing’s Free Naturally together with Prascend®/pergolide due to potential duplication of effects or interactions. If your horse is currently on medication, please consult your veterinarian before making any changes.
- If you’re transitioning from medications, please work with your veterinarian and follow our step-by-step guidance here: 👉 Cushing’s Protocol: https://www.alternativeanimal.com/cushings-protocol-alternative-for-horses/
- Not all Cushing’s horses are Insulin resistant but many are. If your horse is also insulin resistant (IR), add Sugar Balance Naturally daily, year round, alongside Cushing’s Free Naturally to support both areas.
- Keep diet low-NSC (controlled sugars/starches) and manage pasture accordingly, especially during high-sugar times of year.
