Last year, I got the devistating diagnosis that my 2 Appaloosa crosses (full brother & sister) had Insideous Equine Recurrent Uveitis. Both horses are reasonably young, 13 & 14 years old. I sent them to Univ. of Pennsylvania for the cyclosporine implant surgery and it seemed to help, but they still had visible redness in the sclera and occasional flare-ups. We started the Eye Support herbs 2 months ago and they look totally different ! Both horses have very pale, almost white sclera and neither has had a flare-up since starting the treatment ! Thank you so much for the amazing product !!!!” Chrissa K.

Our rescue mini mule (13 years old) was diagnosed with Uveitis & prescribed steroid drops & oral banamine by our vet. She became unruly when trying to administer her medications, & she lost her trust in us. We began to look at other options to treat her condition when we found Alternative Animal. Jules has been getting 1 scoop (450 pounds) for 1 month. Her tear has completely stopped, & cloudiness has begun to diminish. We mix the herbal supplement in a small amount of mash, & she looks forward to this ‘treat’ every morning. I firmly believe in this Alternative Animal Eye Supplement, & we will be giving this to her every day for life. Thank you for helping our baby!

Thank you so much for creating the uveitis nutrients. Last year we adopted an older retired trail horse, a spotless Appy we named Bobby McGhee. The previous owner told us he had chronic flare-ups of uveitis. And, when we first had him at home, his eyes were red and runny. He wouldn't accept a face mask, and the vet told us to just keep him in the shade of the stall--not much of a life! He's been on the uveitis nutrients for about four months now, and his eyes are clear and not drippy. Last week at his vet check, our vet said Bobby's eyes looked great. The nutrients are a lifesaver!

  4. My horse suffers from allergies in hot dry summers. Many days over triple digits. The worst this past summer. Whites of his right eye red and inflamed. So itchy and watery he would not keep fly mask on. Roll on fly deterrent Ok until the rubbing would push some into the eye! GRRR! Thought I would try this and see..After about 3 weeks I noticed improvement. we are on second bag and whites of both eyes are white and no swelling nor inflammation.

Q & A

Ask a question
Pony has cushings and IR and is receiving Cushings Free and Sugar Balance. I recently added this Eye Support supplement because his eyes were always tearing and his left looks a little cloudy. I'm wondering if I need to add Super Immune as suggested in the description? I'm also debating to add Adrenal Support or Thyroid Support for a month or so since we just weaned him off of medications to give him enough Support? We did the kidney and liver cleanse. LHK asked on November 21, 2024

Eye Support and Super Immune: Adding Super Immune could be a beneficial complement to Eye Support, especially since it helps boost the immune system, which plays a role in overall eye health and managing tearing or cloudiness. If his eyes are still improving, you might wait to see how Eye Support works before adding Super Immune, or you could introduce it now for added support.

Adrenal Support or Thyroid Support: After weaning off medications, short-term use of Adrenal Support can help balance stress-related hormones and provide extra support during the transition. This can be especially helpful if he shows signs of fatigue or stress. Thyroid Support could also be beneficial if you notice symptoms like low energy, weight fluctuations, or sluggish metabolism. You don’t necessarily need both, so choose based on his specific needs.

Since you’ve already completed the kidney and liver cleanse, this should have helped optimize his system for absorbing and benefiting from the current supplements. Adding one targeted supplement at a time (like Adrenal Support or Super Immune) is often the best way to monitor its effects and avoid overwhelming his system.
