An Important Pricing Update (Effective February 1, 2026)
At Alternative Animal, transparency has always mattered to us. We believe you deserve to understand not only what is changing, but why.
After more than three years without a price increase, we will be implementing updated pricing on select products beginning February 1, 2026.
This decision was not made lightly. We delayed this change as long as possible, absorbing rising costs behind the scenes for years. However, continuing to do so is no longer sustainable if we are to operate responsibly and maintain the standards you expect from us.
Why a Price Increase Is Necessary
The highest quality herbs are the backbone of our products, and that’s not something we’re willing to compromise on. This ensures your animals receive the care, consistency, and results you trust us for.
While herb costs have increased, they are only one part of the picture. Since 2020, we’ve experienced steady increases across nearly every area of our business, including:
- Raw materials
- Packaging and containers
- Labor and manufacturing costs
- Freight, shipping, and warehousing
- Compliance and operational overhead
We absorbed these increases for years without passing them on. At this point, a pricing adjustment is necessary to continue operating sustainably and producing the products your animals rely on.

When does the new pricing take effect?
The updated pricing takes effect on February 1, 2026.
Which products are affected?
The price adjustment currently applies only to:
- Pelleted Herbal Horse Blends
- Powder Herbal Dog & Cat Blends
All other products remain unchanged for now.
What happens to autoship orders?
Autoship orders processed on or after February 1, 2025, will reflect the new pricing. The 5% autoship discount will continue to apply.
Can I place an order before the increase?
Yes. Orders placed before February 1, 2026 will receive current pricing.
Is product quality changing?
No. The quality of our herbs, formulas, and sourcing standards is not changing. Maintaining that quality is the very reason this adjustment is necessary.
Can I change or cancel my autoship?
Yes. You are always in full control of your autoship. You can adjust delivery dates, change sizes, skip shipments, or cancel at any time through your account.
