For me this is a no brainer, but I have come to realize not everyone thinks like me. Surprise! Believe me, I’ve thought about this long and hard.
Every so often I run across someone who asks me this question. Many times these are the same people who are using herbs, natural supplements, and alternative health practices for themselves, but they have never thought of it for their animals.
I was the same way and then it dawned on me that I didn’t have to do what I’d always done, and that there was probably another, better way.
There was a little fear there too. But once I started to ask questions and learn of alternatives, it just made sense. We are natural beings, our bodies are natural. Not manmade. We’re not made of chemicals developed by some scientist in a lab.
We are natural just as the Mother Earth is natural. So it stands to reason, for me anyway, that the creator that made all of us, including the animals, also made everything we need to take care of ourselves, and gave it to us in the form of the earth and all the plants and minerals that make up the Earth.
Mother Earth was the first physician and healer. Some day, everyone will realize that she alone owns the true pharmacy in medicine, for all drugs are made from Her garden. Alma Hutchens
And it also stands to reason that if we are natural, then our bodies would respond much better to natural substances. Just like babies respond better to breastmilk than formula. Formula is chemicals meant to mimic breastmilk. But it’s not the real thing and the babies bodies know it.
Don’t get me wrong I believe drugs have their place. If I break a leg I want pain medicine. But I don’t think I should be on it forever. If my animal gets seriously injured I certainly want my vet to do what is necessary to save my animal. For acute conditions drugs can be a lifesaver.
But they do not have to be the first go to for daily maintenance care and preventatives. For instance, it’s not necessary to continually give your animals chemicals for controlling internal and external parasites. Natures provides many options if you are willing to look.
The big chemical companies don’t want you to know that cause they want you to buy their chemicals, disguised in a myraid of ways from dewormers, spot treatments, and insecticides, just to name a few. They are not in business to protect your animals, they are in business to make money. Think about that. You poison your animals while some chemical company executive gets rich.
I know this may ruffle a few feathers but I just can’t continue to not try to shift your perception a little in relation to what you are doing to your animals. YOU can choose for yourself. Your pet cannot. You make the choices for them. Do you really think they would make the same choices you make if they knew better?
As Mya Angelou says “You can’t do better till you know better”. I am doing my part to do better by choosing products for Alternative Animal that I believe are the very best. And when I find something that’s better, I’ll get that product.
I’m passionate about caring for animals in a better more natural way. It’s time, it’s the right thing to do.
What do you think? Do you use natural products for yourself or your pet? I wanna know that you think? Do you agree or disagree with me? Share your story in the comment box below.
